Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy
Do not tender without prior written approval
Illegal goods, counterfeit or stolen goods, weapons, ammunition, explosives, flammable materials, compressed gases, corrosives, toxic substances, controlled drugs, unapproved pharmaceuticals and dangerous goods cannot be accepted unless the law permits shipment and Abiet has expressly agreed to all required arrangements. Some categories may never be accepted.
Perishables, live animals, plants, seeds, food, liquids, batteries, electronics, high-value jewellery, currency, important documents, antiques, fragile items, used vehicles or vehicle parts may be restricted or subject to inspection, declarations and special handling. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.
Shipper responsibilities
Check Canadian export controls, airline or maritime restrictions, carrier requirements and Sierra Leone customs rules before booking. Disclose the nature, quantity and value of every item accurately; do not conceal prohibited contents in barrels, boxes or containers.
Inspections and non-compliance
Subject to law and applicable booking terms, Abiet may refuse, hold or refer a shipment for required regulatory inspection and inform appropriate authorities. Any legally recoverable consequences of false declarations or unsafe packing may be charged to the responsible customer. Refund eligibility is determined by the Cancellation & Refund Policy and mandatory law.
